Description:

Leads scientific, technical and business development aspects within the laboratory. Consults extensively with Business Development and Clients as well as other internal departments on new business timelines, technical and compliance issues, and project-related matters. Works closely with the director in strategic planning, business development, and expansion initiatives. Interacts extensively with business development directors, and prepares and determines quotation, pricing, project initiation and scheduling as it relates to scientific and technical capabilities of the laboratory operations. With management, initiates and implements plans to develop and improve area in the laboratory for greater efficiency, productivity, and quality. Oversees and coordinates projects between US and EU laboratories. Works with QA department in improving laboratory quality. Participates in client, QA, facility, and project audits and prepares responses to audits as needed. Completes technical and scientific related special projects. Serves as a liaison

Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationMT(ASCP) certification or equivalent certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of preparation of SOP’s, protocols and other technical documentsStrong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsCritical thinking skills to support quality decision makingTime management and organization skillsAbility to mutli-taskAbility to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and expectationsAbility to work in a collaborative team environment
