At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an expert Protocol Review Specialist to join the global Protocol Review team
The Role:Review proposals, protocols and new and updated study specification documents for the tests that are required. Request clarification of requested tests when necessaryComplete a risk assessment of newly awarded and amended studies and generate the New Protocol Review (NPR) document based off of this risk assessmentCreate and update Clinical Study Technical Summary documents (CSTR) detailing the testing required for the study, collection and transport tubes, shipping and storage conditions and turnaround time.Provide members of Client Services with guidance regarding technical issues on a study.Be the Scientific Point of Contact for key clientsParticipate in study specification meetings if the protocol requires technical inputProvide blood volumes for awarded studiesWork with Scientific Affairs when new testing is required.Performs additional relevant responsibilities as requested by Management.
What you need:BS Degree in Medical Technology, or equivalent, preferredMore than 5 years relevant experienceKnowledge of clinical laboratory concepts and terminologyAn alternative combination of experience, education and training determined by management to be equivalent to the foregoing.
