We are currently recruiting a Senior Proposals and Contracts Specialist to join our Team in the United Kingdom. This role is primarily linked to our Nottingham office, but there is an openness to considering full time home-based working arrangements for the successful candidate.

The Senior Proposals & Contracts Specialist within Parexel Informatics Group is responsible for preparing draft proposal and contract documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change Orders, using Parexel templates per guidance provided by the assigned Contract Manager or Line Manager, and in conjunction with relevant departments. You will help to amend project budgets and may have direct client interaction as assigned by Contract Manager or Line Manger. You will provide quality deliverables to clients under strict deadlines.

Proposal & Contracts Development:Work closely with Sr Management and Business Development to perform appropriate tasks to support proposal & contract developmentContact clients as needed to discuss timelines, questions, expectations, deliverables, etc.Lead, facilitate and add value to strategy meetings to:•Identify issues and client requirementsIdentify key strategy team membersRecommend proposal and contract study conduct strategy, and internal resourcing, based on experienceEstablish agreement on timelines and deliverables from the strategy meeting, and follow-up to ensure adherenceWrite and create client specific proposal text toAccurately reflect strategy discussionsMeet Parexel and client needs / expectationsAssure accuracy and appropriateness of text and attachmentsDraft budgets to:Reflect both Parexel and client needs, including first-run strategic outputPrepare and manage the development of fee estimates for request for proposals, budget revisions and change in scopesAssure accuracy, consistency and competitiveness of budgetsFacilitate pricing discussions with appropriately identified key decision makersEnsure appropriate and accurate mapping to client budget specificationProvide quality client deliverable to strict deadlinesParticipate in client calls related to Requests for Proposals, budget discussions, Requests for Information, etc., as neededParticipate in proposal defense meetings with clientsOther Tasks:Ensure information relating to proposals and contracts are processed into and maintained in relevant databasesParticipate in the development and testing of tools, procedures, and processesLead/participate in lessons learned meetings, as neededQualificationsRequirementsMust have some Proposals or Contracts experience from within CRO/Pharma/Biotech plus pricing experienceAnalytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent Microsoft Word and Excel skillsConfident dealing with internal staff, and external clientsNegotiation skillsBachelor degree
