Key Accountabilities: Provide vision for Clinical IT Application Support Group, in line with the strategic IT objectives, and critical Business initiatives. Develop/maintain IT group mission and support broad cross-functional mission of entire IT organization. Provide feedback, direction leadership to IT senior management and directors in supporting and achieving missions. Guide/lead technical staff to review and define standards for technologies. Motivate teams with diverse cultural backgrounds. Evaluate and assess monthly status reports of all activities, and translate appropriately to business needs. Work closely with corporate executive staff in realizing IT enhancements and guiding infrastructure evolution.Responsible for the tactical and strategic support and maintenance development of highly complex applications according to business requirements following the Parexel Software Development Lifecycle. Responsible for the resolution of problem tickets and change requests. Analyze overall system problems and trends and implement changes to meet requirements. Responsible for the overall efforts in the areas of systems integration, implementation, software updates, bug fixes, change requests and application support activities for assigned systems. Ensure that systems documentation is complete and in accordance with IT and Corporate policy and guidelines. Provide monthly status reports of all activities, plans and problems and current systems performance, user satisfaction and capacity measurement metrics.Ensure staff coverage of mission-critical systems during and outside of normal business hours and assures availability of emergency or contingency support when needed. Identify opportunities for improving support operations through more effective use of IT processes, tools and staffing strategies.Act as escalation point liaison to business representatives on operational and tactical issues and initiatives.
