IQVIA Holdings Inc.

Durham, North Carolina

Associate Director, Business Development, Accounts and Project Management – US

IQVIA is seeking a seasoned leader to guide our team of Account and Project Managers and serve as our Business Development liaison. Our inhouse team designs and delivers immersive clinical training and engagement tools and experiences.

Who We Are
The Global Events Team at IQVIA creates experiences that are effective and unexpected. We incorporate the core principles of adult learning and behavioral science. We use creativity to inspire and engage site staff and study teams working on clinical trials.

Our purpose is centered around a desire to improve healthcare and deepen our understanding of human behavior. We are motivated by a mission to ensure our friends and families can take a walk in the woods, get on a plane and go somewhere new, listen to music, snuggle a baby, try a new restaurant, and live life to the fullest.

Our team is a tightknit, collaborative, intellectually curious group of people with a unique blend of backgrounds and experience. We are comfortable pushing each other to improve our approach and to find new and different solutions. We are in search of a seasoned leader to bring deep expertise in project and account management as well as business development.

About the Associate Director, Business Development, Accounts and Project Management

Account and project management is specialized expertise. We are seeking a leader to foster deep expertise in these areas as well as being an excellent line manager with experience of developing large, global teams. Additionally, our team receives a number of non-traditional business opportunity requests (in addition to traditional study support won through our RDS division). We will look to this role to be the internal expert on the breadth of our solutions and our full capabilities across the team so that they can assess these opportunities and speak to our capabilities to support non traditional requests.
This position has the potential to be home or office-based and will involve collaboration with a globally-distributed team at IQVIA.

Who You Are

Seasoned:
You have extensive experience in business development, account management and project management within the pharmaceutical and/or medical arena. You have created processes and systems to deliver complex, multi-modal solutions at high volume, to demanding clients. You have extensive experience of managing global teams. An advanced understanding of business delivery within IQVIA is a plus.

Empathetic:
You empathize with individuals, including a diverse global audience of physicians and care teams, who are passionate about exploring new treatments for patients and improving the health of their communities.

Resourceful:
You have a proven track record of leading independently and working collaboratively through difficult challenges by drawing past experience, researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions.
