PV/Drug Safety Development Lead

Overview

Provide experienced, comprehensive, and advanced technical expertise as part of a team to develop and maintain PV systems and dashboards (drug safety) to meet internal and external client’s needs. Provide leadership to the Lifecycle Safety department in PV Application Development.

Essential Functions

  • To lead analysis and development of new/existing PV systems and dashboards.
  • Develop, set up, configure, and maintain new/existing PV system tools built using Oracle APEX/Spotfire.
  • Follow established SOPs to deliver systems/dashboards that meet user expectations
  • Lead the implementation and documentation of system change requests and updates or creates documents as needed.
  • Participate in design sessions and provides input on the software solution, architecture, and workflows for internal and external clients.
  • Debug complex problems with information systems using a variety of analytical skills, techniques, and resources.
  • Lead validation activities to ensure that quality solutions are delivered to the end user to meet set business requirements as well as conform to company technology principles, architecture, and strategies.
  • Mentor other team members and Programmers in training and developing technical and/or database expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal/external team stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Technical expertise with Spotfire
  • 2+ year mapping/manipulating Clinical/Medical data to Spotfire visualizations
  • 2+ year creating/maintaining new and existing Spotfire visualizations
  • 2+ years of experience and understanding of Pharmacovigilance concepts and associated databases including Oracle Argus
  • Ability to interact with customers and internal executives as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the respective country, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Technical expertise with Oracle APEX
  • Basic Project Management skills (planning, estimation, forecasting, time management)
  • Familiarity with Computer Systems Validation and Regulated Systems
  • Biostatistical knowledge applied to Pharmacovigilance and Signal detection to support incidence rate calculation, disproportionality analysis
  • Solid business analysis skills
