·         Performs a full range of programming tasks including design, coding, debugging and documentation for a wide variety of software/systems programs.

·         Assignments are generally of a complex technical nature requiring the conceptualization, development and application of new techniques.

·         Coordinates the conception and development of new systems programming activities to determine requirements for new or revised operating systems, systems software.

·         Programs in languages like Python and Java.

·         Programs data intensive streaming software with Kafka and Scala to stream data scaling to tens of billions of rows.

·         Builds micro-services for various in-house requirements and works exclusively with REST API frameworks

·         Prepares feasibility studies and designs tests to determine operating characteristics of software and hardware.

·         Builds complex CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows, monitor and health-check various applications.

·         Performs detailed data validation tasks and investigates discrepancies in counts between various internal query engines and reinforce credibility.

·         Provides second level support to application and development organizations.

·         Plans, conducts, and coordinates the analysis, design and implementation of hardware and operating systems.

·         Performs complicated data migration tasks to and from technologies like Hive and Impala.

·         Works exclusively with several Big Data technologies and distributed systems in general.

·         Monitors effective system utilization, applying efficient data base management techniques. Reviews system logic for optimum throughput.

·         Implements, modifies, maintains, and updates complex software such as operating system exit routines, network file handing routines, macros, and third party systems software.

·         Reviews the development of computer operation and production control instructions. Reviews systems software to ensure upward compatibility.

·         Involves in code reviews and restructuring old code bases and coming up with more efficient, bug-free and more readable code.

·         Prepares and conducts comprehensive system and programming tests which require the interfacing of diverse hardware and software.

·         Reviews potential applications and designs hardware/software interfaces and provides technical direction to lower level systems programming staff members.
