Title: Customs Trade Compliance Coordinator

Location: Horsham

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

What will you do?

Under direction of the Customs Warehouse and Trade Compliance Team Leader ensure Global Trade Compliance for imports and exports, extended to internal and external clients and couriers. Support in all activities associated with the Customs Warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and keep up-to-date with import and export regulations (in particular Medical related control regulations) of all countries with which the organisation conducts business.
  • Support GTC Manager in developing an organisational understanding of and adherence to import and export control regulations.
  • Providing cross training across the business to ensure understanding of GTC
  • Support in continuous improvement activities to existing procedures and SOPs as required
  • Support in establishing and implementing strategies for import and export control compliance in line with the needs of the organisation including any Denied Parties Screening processes
  • Imports – Ensuring compliant clearance and Customs Warehouse procedure is followed for all incoming shipments
  • Exports –Ensuring compliant clearance and Customs Warehouse procedure is followed for all incoming shipments
  • Actively participate in any audits associated with Customs Warehouse process
  • Participation in cross functional business process improvement activities as required
  • Delivery of Customs Warehouse Team RFT and OTIF metrics
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as directed and agreed by Line Manager

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent in relevant subjects

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Worked within a GMP environment.
  • Worked within an operational environment.
  • Proficient use of electronic and automated equipment.
  • Microsoft Excel & Ms Word experience.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate.
  • Written & numerical skills.
  • General admin duties; Filing, photocopy, office housekeeping.
  • Demonstrates and ability to guide and mentor effectively.
  • A high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ensures training needs are met in a training environment
