POSITION TITLE: Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance (FP&A)

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Southeast Asia and Taiwan (“SEATW”) as a growth engine for the company, has over 4000 employees, supporting more than 20 divisions or business units cross all functions from commercial to manufacturing, Finance, Legal, IT, etc.

This role will report to SEATW Commercial Finance Senior Manager, located in Singapore. Key responsibilities are partnering with commercial stakeholders in the region to achieve top-line and profitability targets while managing operating expenses, delivering on standard FP&A workstreams including monthly close, commercial forecast, monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual operating plan, long terms strategic plan, and other ad-hoc analyses or projects.

Support SEATW Specialty Diagnostics Group (“SDG”) financial reporting and analysis

  • SDG comprises of 4 divisions, namely Microbiology Division (“MBD”), Clinical Diagnostics Division (“CDD”), ImmunoDiagnostics Division(“IDD”) and Transplant Diagnostics Division (“TDX”). These divisions focus on in vitro diagnostics including test kits, reagents, culture media, instruments, and associated products to serve customers in health care, clinical, pharmaceutical, and industrial laboratories.
  • Support lead analyst and commercial business partners, country and regional division finance teams to ensure key deliverables and timelines for business reviews or submissions are met.
  • Support tracking and analysis of monthly forecasts vs actuals for backlog, booking and revenue by business units or product lines, explaining forecast movements as well as identifying key drivers for changes or variances.
  • Run regular performance tracking reports and work with business to highlight risks / opportunities, analyze growth trends and margins.
  • Support the consolidation and reporting of commercial P&L by divisions and at group level.
  • Prepare financials for timely submission at country and divisional level (where applicable) during Strategic Plan (“STRAP”), as well as Annual Operating Plan (“AOP”) cycles. Build templates to facilitate efficient and effective planning, reconciliation, and review.
  • Participate in tracking of Capex, OPEX, headcount, sales performance attainment and pricing. Sales performance attainment includes supporting SIP calculations and related processes, where applicable.
  • Utilize and leverage financial reporting systems to extract data or build dashboards, as well as perform uploads into financial reporting systems as needed.
  • Support supply and demand planning, working cross-functionally with customer care and global factory teams.
  • Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, consolidation and / or related duties as required.

  • Communicate clearly and adequately, with good personal efficiency to work cross-functionally and navigate matrix organization.
  • Work autonomously in fast-paced environment, with ability to handle some ambiguity and initiate escalation or follow-up where needed.
  • Participate actively and work closely with the commercial team, to support commercial leaders and Finance team within SEATW.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years working experience in MNC. Financial Planning and Analysis experience is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills.
  • Good commercial sense and able to learn on the fly, being comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Applied knowledge of business systems (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management, SmartView, Workday, etc.) would be an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication, comfortable communicating with senior leaders.
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure, good personal efficiency, can-do attitude.
  • Self-motivated and a keen learner with an inquisitive mind.
  • A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous.
