How you’ll make an impact

The Global Enterprise Relationship Lead is a highly visible role with exposure to divisional commercial leaders, our corporate leadership team and customer C-Suite executives. You will own partnership account plan strategy development and execution, working closely with a broad network of internal team members to define and deliver innovative, and enterprise-wide solutions that convey substantial and sustained impact for both our customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

You will lead high-performance Account Management Teams (AMTs) in an intercultural, diverse, virtual, matrix environment, and will often have to ensure alignment on overall partnership strategy in the face of contending interests and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Enterprise Relationship Lead (Biotech, Pharma & Applied (BPA) segment)

  • Translating deep customer insights into meaningful partnership opportunities that deliver value to both our customers and Thermo Fisher. You will be responsible for the AMTs in the creation of overall account strategy, improving our breadth and depth of capabilities to build high-impact, innovative, science- and customer-centric solutions

  • Own and deliver the financial results for the accounts you will be responsible for and strengthen the foundation of exceptional commercial execution; particular emphasis on broadening customer engagement & deepening intimacy with accounts managed by the team, removing barriers to execution, development of talent, leveraging existing tools/processes, and effective collaboration across Thermo Fisher

  • Build credible, influential relationships and external collaborations, helping to facilitate customer access for our divisional colleagues, connecting with partnership executive sponsors and members of the Thermo Fisher Leadership Team to proactively deepen customer intimacy and extend customer value creation

  • Acting as the primary interface between our strategic partners and Thermo Fisher, you will lead governance activities, sourcing new needs/opportunities, and supporting resolution of critical issues

  • Through data analysis and interpretation, technical product knowledge and extensive industry knowledge you will coordinate large and sophisticated deal structures with our most strategic global customers

  • Working efficiently in a matrix environment you will have the opportunity to build and develop successful, inclusive, and diligent work environments that champion our 4i values

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree, preferably in a scientific field (chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering); MBA or professional business education is highly desirable

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior level account management or business development position within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, fine chemical, contract research or laboratory supply sectors

  • Extensive experience working within a matrix environment and driving alignment on a common purpose despite occasionally competing/conflicting interests

  • Strong business and financial skill, including understanding of the P&L drivers, dynamics, and trade-offs

  • Deep and sincere passion for creating an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative team environment

  • Positive demeanor and resiliency to changing business environments

  • Ability / willingness to spend significant time on site at global customer locations

  • German language writing, speaking skills preferred but not required
