Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Genetic Sciences account manager to join our growing team. The role will focus on growing and developing the Genetic Sciences portfolio. It will involve maintaining existing relationships with channel partners and key opinion leaders as well as developing new relationships as we expand our portfolio, workflows and applications.

The role is remote based with scope to cover Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. You will be expected to travel within the region for 2/3 of your time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with channel partners and customers in the region to define opportunities for growth of the GSD portfolio especially in focus areas like qPCR, Digital PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis and MicroArray. Develop growth strategies in partnership with the channel partners and support efforts to exploit those opportunities.
  • Apply clear product/technology expertise to serve as the field-based consultant in Genetic Sciences.
  • Identify sales opportunities primarily within research institutions, hospitals, biotech and clinical diagnostics groups and handle the complete sales process to completion to meet or exceed plan.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships on the short and long term. Focus on the strategic development of key customer relationships by developing and implementing business plans for targeted accounts. Maintain consistent and structured communication with counterparts and articulate summarized communication and a territory business analysis to Management on a periodic basis.
  • Work closely with the Distributor Manager and other team members to drive incremental business. Integrate successfully into team selling environment by partnering sales efforts with other Life Sciences Solutions colleagues.
  • Identify the full base of possible target customers by direct marketing and research including exploring additional applied markets. Partner with marketing department to support the development and execution of marketing programs and sales materials. Coordinate and deliver seminars, in conjunction with partners to showcase the portfolio.
  • Obtain successful adoption of the technology within all applied markets while investigating the potential of other applications and solutions in the research, pre-clinical and clinical space.
  • Maintain and develop the CRM database (Sales Force), provide regular sales reports and accurate forecasts.
  • Capture, analyze and deliver information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market.

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree in Life Sciences with appropriate experience. M.Sc. is considered desirable.
  • Research/Bench experience in the field of in Genetic Sciences and/or technical sales functions will be preferable.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Broad experience (3-5 years) in sales/technical sales function, and consistent track record in Life Sciences industry or closely related business in healthcare/diagnostics.
  • Clear understanding of the research market, together with a consistent record of using solution centric sales approaches in those markets.
  • Good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors.
  • Ability to sell in a consultative manner such that customer need is discovered and addressed in an individualized data driven manner.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive complex research and clinical data as a key factor in the sales process.
  • Proven track record in interaction with customers involving capital sales and applications support within the research and clinical markets.
  • Commercial competence and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value proposition and all aspects being relevant in export trade business.
  • Digital literacy, especially regarding modern scientific user interfaces, document and presentation preparation and report writing.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal skills and ability to make presentations across the board.
  • Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Russian language considered as strong plus.
  • Full Clean Driving License.
