Laboratory Technician Apprentice

Through on-the-job training with a one-day a week structured learning, you will develop laboratory skills whilst working towards a Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship with HNC in Applied Science.

We have opportunities in our BioPharmCMC department!

This department covers a wide range of pharmaceutical analysis methodologies and spans the drug development timeline. The laboratory technician team are a central role ensuring smooth and continuous operation of regulated laboratories.

This apprenticeship develops the foundations of regulated laboratory operations making an excellent starting point for a scientific career. Working within a diverse team you will maintain the laboratories including duties such as equipment calibration, cleaning, autoclaving, administrative tasks, all while working to GMP regulatory guidelines.

Please note this position will begin in August 2024

What you'll receive:

• You'll undertake a Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship with HNC in Applied Science over the course of 24 months.

• You will study for a Level 4 Science Qualification

What are we looking for:

• An A-level in Biology or Chemistry is preferred but not essential. Relevant work Experience or a level 3 science-based qualification is also beneficial.

• A passion for science

• A willingness to learn

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Great attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Time management and prioritisation skills in order to balance the demands of work and college
