The Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Analyst provides support and assistance in the planning, execution and management of strategic sourcing for services associated with R&D and global clinical trials.  An important part of this role is to minimize regulatory, legal, financial, operation risks as it pertains to Master Service Agreements, Work Orders and Change Orders.

Hybrid Role: Will require 3 days weekly onsite in our Wilmington, DE (19803) office.

Key responsibilities of the job:

  • Participate in evaluation of outsourcing needs for R&D and global clinical trials, and assistance in developing specifications to support Request for Proposal (RFP) inquiries.
  • Conduct fair market value assessments, support GSS staff in rate negotiations, conduct spend analysis.
  • Facilitate review/approval/execution of Master Service Agreements, Work Orders and Change Orders.
  • Maintain consistent communications with internal and external clients, including in-person discussions, telephone calls, and e-mails.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Relationship Management, Development Operations, Research Operations, and Legal and Compliance Departments.

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical/CRO industry; preferred minimum 1 year of sourcing/contracting experience.
  • Excellent analytical and data analysis skills and superb attention to detail.
  • Experience with conflict resolution.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to act without having the total picture.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage change.
  • Flexibility to assume a workload which frequently necessitates an adjustment of priorities.
  • Detail and goal oriented, self-starter with proven ability to work independently.
  • Able to proactively identify issues and provide potential solutions for resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deliverables in accordance with stated timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
