Discover Impactful Work:

Manage all activities associated with the movement of material, usually raw materials, components and finished goods from the supplier to the customer.  Provide support of all activities related to MRO and Foreign Trade Zone.  Assures the physical custody, safeguarding and accuracy of the inventory records within the site.

A Day in the Life:

  • Supervises daily activities of the Warehouse Operations.
  • Manage employee evaluations and coaching as needed.
  • Develop and periodically update all procedures to manage the movement and storage of material throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure that personnel are properly trained to move the material throughout the plant.
  • Assure that all Warehouse Operators profiles and training matrix are kept updated.
  • Manage  inventory system data updates, such as receipts, warehouse locations, shipment and resources among others
  • Ensure a proper mechanism to measure and maintain the inventory accuracy within established guidelines.
  • Manages the Cycle Counting process and reconciliation with Finance.
  • Ensure that all equipment such as forklifts are adequate for usage.
  • Assure the housekeeping of warehouse, staging, shipping and receiving areas are maintained according to the industry requirements.
  • Ensure that material is properly stored as per USP and safety requirements.
  • Assure limited control access to the warehouse area and other areas.
  • Ensures that the receipts, storage and shipments of control substance are in accordance with DEA and any applicable regulations
  • Periodic review and reporting of warehouse utilization.
  • Manages the destruction orders for rejected materials and transfer to EHS EHA department for final disposal.
  • Assure shipping arrangements are properly coordinated with the carriers.
  • Assure department expenses are maintained with the budget. Evaluate, recommend and implement alternatives to improve operational costs in the Warehouse.
  • Provide support to all operational areas.
  • Manages regulatory, financial and insurance audits (internal & external), such as FDA, DEA,  Customs Border & Protection, clients among others,
  • Responsible for  the compliance with Safety , cGMP’s, and environmental regulations
  • Manages Compliance responsibilities such as generating and closing the investigations, corrective / preventive actions within designated closing period days .
  • Generates weekly and monthly discrepancy reports to assigned responsible person and management.
  • Maintain meetings with associates to gather feedback and attend any warehouse issues.
  • Attend to Quality Unit meetings to discuss open investigations/ pending corrective/ preventive actions.
  • Prepares the investigation trend analysis reports in order to measure the success of the root cause analysis and the corrective/ preventive action plan taken.
  • Provide on monthly basis visibility of the measures taken and trend analysis reports, metrics for the Receiving, Shipping, Staging and Warehouse areas.
  • Responsible to monitor and take appropriate actions as per company policies on late entries and absenteeism.
  • Provides Support to the Foreign Trade Zone Program.

Keys to Success:

Education and Experience

  • Business Administration (BBA), Industrial Management or Industrial Engineering degree or related preferred (equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered).
  • 3+ years experience in Warehouse, distribution and MRP II in the Pharmaceutical industry with 1+ years of supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Certified Production and Inventory Control Management CPIM preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices and Standard Operating Procedures related to Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Proficiency in communication and presentation skills.
  • Written and verbal Spanish and English languages.
  • Proficiency on the use of computers software’s such as Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
  • Knowledge in problem solving techniques.
  • An excellent communication skill at higher levels.
  • People skills.
  • Knowledge in OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge in DEA/FDA regulations.
  • Preferable but not required knowledge in Foreign Trade Zone.

Physical Requirements

  • Computer keyboard operation.
  • Occasionally pallets movement will be required.
  • Long walking distance required.
  • Able to work under pressure
