Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) provides a broad offering of instruments, consumables, software and services that are used for a range of applications in the laboratory, on the production line and in the field. These products and services are used by customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, government, environmental and other research, and industrial markets, as well as the clinical laboratory.

AIG Finance is expanding its Digital Analytics and Business Services (DABS) team, that strives to provide meaningful FP&A insights and analytics to AIG divisions. In particular, the DABS team enables FP&A insights with a focus on customer support, promoting FP&A process efficiencies, identifying opportunities for productivity enhancements, scaling through process harmonization across AIG divisions, embracing digital solutions to elevate FP&A insights, and enabling continuous improvement of reporting, planning, and forecasting.

The FP&A DABS BI Analyst will create and maintain interactive, dynamic dashboards to provide actionable insights and recommendations on the financial performance of the business. This role will be actively involved in strategy, reporting, and BI solutioning processes as we drive transformational change to reporting platforms and solutions. The Analyst will be responsible to develop solid cross-functional business partnerships, participate in special projects, and improve processes across an organization with substantial volume and system complexities.

Job description:

  • Through effective partnership with Commercial, Business Unit and Divisional FP&A teams deliver centralized reporting solutions that facilitate key business insights.
  • Partner with Data Engineers and IT groups to build new data pathways for integration into AIG’s data landscape to support the business reporting requirements, automation, and data science objectives.
  • Liaise with customers and other DABS team members to translate requirements to visual report / dashboard design (UX design)
  • Actively monitor service tickets submitted by customers.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in BI and opportunities to consolidate other FP&A reporting environments into common framework(s).
  • Drive commercial, business unit and divisional standardization of reporting processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Run daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly data quality monitoring processes.
  • Support the technical design, maintenance, on-going development, and optimization of the centralized reporting environment.
  • Manage integrations and perform validations from source systems and ensure data flows downstream as required.
  • Support overall data strategy of centralization, consistency, automation, and visualization. Consider data as a key strategic business asset and seek to enhance and optimize wherever possible.
  • Monitor system health and work with stakeholders to resolve ETL and DB issues.
  • 5-10% international travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Data Sciences, Accounting or Finance with experience in financial reporting systems.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in finance-focused BI reporting.
  • Experience using reporting and visualization tools, Power BI (DAX), and SQL
  • Experience in providing high volume data reporting tools and a passion for efficient, effective data solutions.
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and impact to reporting systems
  • Excellent organizational skills; effective verbal & written communication abilities.
  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the implications of business decisions and dynamics.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with ability to maintain accuracy of information and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and understand that there may be extra hours during the financial calendar.
  • Coding skills such as SQL, Python or VBA considered beneficial.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work based on business needs.
  • Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic to get the job done.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn new tools, systems and processes quickly.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €23 800,00–€35 650,00.
