Position Summary:

The Sr Director, Sales is responsible for driving growth in the LE/LPE businesses across North America. This role will include assessment, development and implementation of sales plans and processes to identify, generate, and nurture business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leadership of the sales team in the West Zone and portions of Canada, supporting Lab Equipment and Lab Plastics Essentials business units
  • Owns strategy for team to drive revenue and booking targets
  • Aligns field sales team with product specialists and business unit initiatives to get results
  • Inspires a winning mentality and a culture focused on driving new business growth
  • Partners with Business Unit, Marketing and Sales Enablement colleagues as well as Channel Partners to develop and implement large-scale, strategic share gain programs such as Target Account Plans
  • Talent development, management of compensation plans/incentives and processes
  • Lead continued process improvement to drive flawless execution
  • Develop market coverage and resources to accelerate regional growth
  • Develop and harmonize commercial processes to increase sales efficiencies and execution
  • Annual improvement of customer allegiance scores and employee involvement

​ Key Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales, marketing, business development or commercial operations experience
  • Role model sales leader with ability to develop a high-performance, customer focused and adaptable sales team
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic selling, negotiating, presentation and communication
  • Demonstrated commercial competence with strong analytical and financial skills: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis
  • Ability to operate within a matrix structure, prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is required
  • Strong talent management and people development skills.
  • Available to Travel 40-50
