Position Summary:
The Sr Director, Sales is responsible for driving growth in the LE/LPE businesses across North America. This role will include assessment, development and implementation of sales plans and processes to identify, generate, and nurture business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leadership of the sales team in the West Zone and portions of Canada, supporting Lab Equipment and Lab Plastics Essentials business units
- Owns strategy for team to drive revenue and booking targets
- Aligns field sales team with product specialists and business unit initiatives to get results
- Inspires a winning mentality and a culture focused on driving new business growth
- Partners with Business Unit, Marketing and Sales Enablement colleagues as well as Channel Partners to develop and implement large-scale, strategic share gain programs such as Target Account Plans
- Talent development, management of compensation plans/incentives and processes
- Lead continued process improvement to drive flawless execution
- Develop market coverage and resources to accelerate regional growth
- Develop and harmonize commercial processes to increase sales efficiencies and execution
- Annual improvement of customer allegiance scores and employee involvement
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of sales, marketing, business development or commercial operations experience
- Role model sales leader with ability to develop a high-performance, customer focused and adaptable sales team
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic selling, negotiating, presentation and communication
- Demonstrated commercial competence with strong analytical and financial skills: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis
- Ability to operate within a matrix structure, prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is required
- Strong talent management and people development skills.
- Available to Travel 40-50
