Job Summary

A Computer and Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the inventory and upkeep of computer terminals and other study-related equipment. The individual in this role works with departments and IT to troubleshoot and repair in-room technology infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities •    Maintain, manage, and organize Provantis carts and linked equipment. •    Serve as liaison between in-life and IT including trouble shooting and repair of in-room technology infrastructure. •    Maintain tracking system for equipment. •    Assist with coordination and calibration efforts for scales, standard weight sets, and other equipment. •    Serve as central point for ordering of non-consumable equipment. •    Stock and maintain of non-consumable equipment. •    Identify, socialize, and implement cost saving opportunities, make improvements to ordering and management of equipment processes (harmonize efforts). •    Manage request system for non-consumable equipment.

The pay range for this position is $20 - $22/hr.

Job Qualifications

•    Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)  - required.  (A.A./A.S.) or (B.A./B.S.)  - preferred.   •    Experience: 2 years of contract research organization experience preferred; familiarity with research equipment, computer/BMDS set up, and ordering needs preferred. •    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. •    Experience in C++, SmartSheets, Excel, or IT related experience is a plus.

Workplace Requirements •    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and work/type at a computer. •    Specific vision abilities required by this job Include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. •    Must be able to communicate with other personnel regarding all aspects of a study. •    Ability to work around animals, latex, or dust. •    General office working conditions with typically low to moderate noise level in the work environment. •    While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally is required to wear protective clothing (scrubs and facility shoes; or lab coat, shoe covers, safety glasses) when entering laboratory areas.
