Category Manager

Job Description

What will you do?

• Lead the execution of TPP (3rd Party Product) sourcing activities to support category strategy implementation for initiatives for CAD/LPG/ES divisions. The portfolio spend is > US$ 15M.
• Liaise with internal customers and category owners to ensure supplier program operations meet expectations.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking for strategic transactions.
• Partner with team member to ensure requirements are clearly gathered, documented, and translated to RFX and contracts as appropriate.
• Research potential vendors and develop RFX for sourcing initiatives assigned.
• Lead sourcing events of contract terms of agreement and pricing, delivering and recording annual P&L savings.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external team members. Collaborate with other teams to achieve common goals and ensure effective multiple functional communication.

Education

• Requires a bachelor’s degree, majors in engineering, IT or business administration is preferred. .
• At least 10 years of work experience in sourcing. Could independently lead complex projects.
• Good English language proficiency (verbal and written).

Experience

• Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies.
• Sourcing expert with strong experience with sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
• Working experience in equipment / consumable / reagent will be a plus.
