The Clinical Trial Ambassador (CTL) will establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with investigators and study coordinators to support enrollment while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest. This position interacts with various internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on institutions and their alliance partners (if applicable), study coordinators, pharmacists, clinical research associates and investigators. This role will initially focus on clinical trials and study site engagement but may later have the opportunity to transition into a traditional MSL role.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Principal Investigators, Study Coordinators and clinical trial sites to support the enrollment and conduct of our customer clinical studies
  • Works with our customer and Contract Research Organisation, Clinical Development and Clinical Operations leads and trial sites to understand and implement study protocols effectively
  • Partners with sites to develop and implement effective local and regional subject recruitment strategies, suggest local outreach options, facilitate escalation of investigator questions/concerns, recruitment/retention initiatives and clinical site & investigators meetings as it relates to recruitment strategies
  • Follows up with sites post-SIV to ensure patient enrollment runs smoothly, identifies challenges, issues and barriers and reports back to our customer and works with study teams and sites to develop solutions
  • Deliver medical/scientific education, as required, to trial sites and provides input to key internal stakeholders on training materials for clinical trials, investigational asset, therapeutic areas, and disease state as outlined by our customer; suggest and support implementation of local outreach options

Essential Requirements

  • PharmD, PhD or MD with relevant clinical trial site experience
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical trial/research design, conduct, and understanding of clinical study results
  • Experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, or investigational site management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; Skilled at presenting scientific content

Desired Requirements

  • Cardiovascular experience is required; oncology experience is highly
  • Experience working with injectable agents
