Kryteria przyjęcia:

  • Wcześniactwo po urodzeniu (od 32 tygodni i 0 dni do 35 tygodni i 6 dni GA)
  • Wiek 6 miesięcy lub mniej w momencie badania przesiewowego i urodzeni w okresie od maja 2009 do stycznia 2010 dla sezonu 1 lub od maja 2010 do lutego 2011 dla sezonu 2
  • Pisemna świadoma zgoda i wszelkie lokalnie wymagane zezwolenia (np. HIPAA), uzyskane od rodzica/opiekuna podmiotu przed wykonaniem jakichkolwiek procedur związanych z protokołem.

Kryteria wyłączenia:

  • Otrzymanie jakiegokolwiek środka profilaktycznego RSV: w dowolnym momencie przed udziałem w badaniu
  • Udział w badaniach nad badaną profilaktyką RSV lub lekami terapeutycznymi RSV
  • Obecność dysplazji oskrzelowo-płucnej, istotnych hemodynamicznie wrodzonych wad serca, wrodzonych wad nerwowo-mięśniowych lub wrodzonych wad dróg oddechowych
  • Każdy stan, który w opinii badacza ograniczyłby oczekiwaną długość życia do mniej niż 6 miesięcy
