Senior Manager / Manufacturing Maintenance

As Senior Manager / Manufacturing Maintenance you are responsible for management of Maintenance & Facilities Team to ensure reliable and safe operation of all the facilities and for establishing and adapting a flexible maintenance strategy. You are an active member of the Engineering Leadership Team and define the site engineering strategy.

Your responsibilities:

  • In line with the Lengnau site strategy owns the Maintenance  & Facilities Department to ensure the balanced technical operation, the efficient incident handling, cost effective maintenance activities, on duty and GxP-conform Maintenance & Utilities activities of the process plants and of the plant inventory at the site
  • Represents Maintenance & Facilities during GMP audits and inspections
  • In charge as Maintenance Specialist / Maintenance Coordinator/Plant Engineer. Ensures the coordination between maintenance and project activities
  • Ensures a culture of continuous improvement and development of technologies within the Maintenance & Facilities department
  • Ensures availability and capacity of all process plants and of the plant inventory to meet required product output
  • Responsible for compliance of all Maintenance & Facilities activities with GMP requirements and specifications
  • Approves all required SOP’s needed to run and maintain all process plants and all plant inventory Supports and implements alternative maintenance strategies when applicable
  • Ensures all the employees are working according to all the SOP’s in place needed to run and maintain all Plant/Clean Utilities
  • Develops and updates Key Performance Indicators to demonstrate adequate availability and quality of all process plants
  • Drafts project proposals for upgrades and expansions of process plants and plant inventory aligned with growth and replacement strategy for the annual CAPEX budget

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in an Engineering field or local equivalent, MBA preferred
  • More than 7 years of engineering experience in a pharmaceutical operations, including familiarity with regulatory compliance ·
  • Excellent command of German and English (oral and writing)
  • Efficiency and simplification attitude with consistent record of optimizing organizations and culture to hard-working non-hierarchical organization
  • Experience in empowering organizations, developing talent and future leaders, and crafting an agile & team with multifaceted strengths
  • Reliability excellence (TPM) experience to optimize asset management. Developing operator asset care concept together with maintenance
  • Additional Requirements · Travel 10%
