Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in data engineering, particularly in Python, Databricks, and SQL. The Data Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data is collected, processed, and made available for analysis and business decision-making.

In this role, you will act as a critical link between the business partners providing business requirements, and IT teams delivering the solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into our data storage systems.

  • SQL: Write and optimize the data transformation and data extraction

  • Python and PySpark: Use Python and Apache Spark to build data processing applications and to perform data transformations efficiently.

  • Data Modeling: Work on data modeling and architecture to ensure the data is structured and organized for analytical purposes.

  • Data Quality and Integration: Collaborate with other teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and smooth integration with various systems.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data pipelines and processes for better performance and scalability.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and procedures.

  • SAP ECC Integration (Good to Have): If you have knowledge of SAP ECC, you may be involved in integrating SAP data into our systems.

  • Data Visualization (Good to Have):  Knowledge of Power BI

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a solid focus on Python, DataBricks, SQL and PySpark.

  • Good to have: Knowledge of SAP ECC and experience in integrating SAP data.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills and a team player.

  • Demonstrable experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines.

  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools is a plus.
