Job Description

  • Utilize Six Sigma methodologies and analytics for measurable process improvements.
  • Coach/Educate and mentor teams to utilize process improvement tools on identified projects.
  • Support the analysis, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of key projects to assist the organization in achieving goals.
  • Effectively communicate through all levels of the organization

How will you make an impact:

  • Accomplish goals consistent with business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct the PPI Lean initiative across the site’s functions which includes driving productivity improvements & improved quality as well as cost reduction and avoidance to improve profitability and throughput.
  • Assist organization leaders to challenge conventional thinking and identify improvement opportunities, establish and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Lead and motivate a PPI specialists’ team in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
  • Perform semiannual and annual performance management and development assessments for current and future PPI team members.
  • Participate in strategy deployment meetings and engagement with senior site leadership.
  • Hire and retain qualified PPI specialists.
  • Develop and teach PPI methodology, lean tools, and concepts to the site or organization.
  • Assist Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and motivate changes when needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop PPI Roadmaps to drive breakthroughs and outstanding performance.
  • Provide leadership and technical skills for PPI projects, kaizen blitzes, and other PPI initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training to organizations including PPI 8 step, value stream mapping, cell design, Kanban, Strategy Deployment tool, poka-yoke, 5S, TPM, and quick changeover.
  • Act as a change agent, systematically driving the use of PPI thinking and application for continuous improvement and change throughout operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Expertise in the use of the following tools:

  • Problem Solving
  • Minitab or MS Excel
  • Statistical Testing
  • DOE (Factorial, RSM)
  • SPC implementation and data analyzation

Expertise in the following lean activities:

  • Value Stream Process
  • Process Mapping
  • SMED
  • Standard Work
  • 5S/Kanban/Supermarket/Pull

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in applying Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • 5+ years technical experience in engineering or related experience
  • Experience in a people leadership role strongly preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $118,100.00–$160,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
