Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic addition to the People Analytics Leadership Team to serve as a Datalake Product Owner / Manager. This role involves overseeing the strategic direction, development, enhancement, and operational management of our Snowflake-based data lake solution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Snowflake's capabilities, cloud-based data lakes, coupled with strong product management skills, and a passion for delivering innovative data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic vision for the Snowflake data lake, aligning it with the Labcorp People Analytics function goals and objectives.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers with varying degrees of expertise in data to gather requirements and prioritize features based on demand and customer feedback.
  • Feature Definition: Define and articulate product features, functionality, and user experience, ensuring alignment with Snowflake capabilities and best practices.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Snowflake datalake, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design and maintain an efficient and scalable data lake architecture on the Snowflake platform.
  • Data Governance and Security: Implement robust data governance policies and security measures to safeguard sensitive information stored within the Snowflake datalake.
  • Product Performance: Monitor product performance, gather analytics, and iterate on features to optimize user engagement, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to oversee the product development lifecycle and communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive alignment between business objectives and data initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, roadmap changes, and key milestones effectively across the organization and to external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly experienced professional with 10+ years experience working in IT, Data Analytics, or other technical industries
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in product ownership / management, preferably in the domain of data management, cloud-based analytics, or data warehouses with demonstrated track record of building data infrastructure solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Proficiency in data warehouse / data lake architecture, SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data lake solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically, define product vision, and translate it into actionable plans and features.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse, non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience (5+ years) working with People Analytics or other HR Data functions
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.

Pay range: $115,000.00 -$135,000.00 USD + bonus
