The Role

We are looking for an experienced Safety Scientist to serve as a local qualified individual for Pharmacovigilance (LQPPV) in Australia and New Zealand for various ICON clients.

Responsibilities;

  • Manage local Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information and Product Quality Complaint activities tied to the LQPPV role, customer and client facing. This includes but is not limited to local literature review, local intelligence review, management of local PV, MI and PQC cases coming in via email and phone. 

  • May serve as the primary contact for Pharmacovigilance correspondence with TGA on behalf of ICON clients .

  • Ensure ICON clients’ pharmacovigilance system is compliant with TGA regulations and guidelines.

  • Ensure safety concerns are appropriately addressed and communicated to TGA.

  • Potential to serve as Lead on ICON projects where specialized pharmacovigilance services are contracted such as generation of aggregate safety reports, literature surveillance, signal detection activities and risk management plans, safety sections of product reference documents.

You Will Need

  • Degree in Health or Life Sciences

  • Minimum 2 years in a local PV role.  

  • Minimum of 5 years in post-marketing PV.

  • Experience as LQPPV will be an asset.
