Discover Impactful Work:

The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler II handles daily evaluation and loading of one or more production teams to achieve efficient timely delivery, firming the supply plan versus forecast, as part of the Supply Planning process. This role will prioritize and generate build plans for multiple value streams in a low volume/high mix make-to-stock environment, and resolve constraints by partnering with manufacturing, while actively supporting the implementation of new processes and process improvements. Provides inputs to or generates ad-hoc reports and participates in cross-functional teams and projects when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance supply and demand in a fast-paced production environment
  • Review, interpret and act on MRP supply signals to ensure fulfillment of service goal targets.
  • Create and manage work orders to fulfill demand requirements
  • Manage master data in MRP systems to ensure accurate supply signals
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to achieve and maintain site critical metric targets
  • Recognize problems influencing or affected by the supply and production planning domains, analyze to determine root cause and recommend solutions as able, and escalate as needed
  • Collaborate with other planning representatives (DRP, Demand Planning) to understand supply requirements down to SKU level by region
  • Prioritize and perform assignments independently to satisfy required timelines, providing periodic updates and feedback
  • Track and prepare metrics and reports as necessary
  • Shelf life management by product / batch
  • Product Lifecycle Management, focusing on new product introduction
  • Demonstrate diplomacy, judgment, and tact in dealing with internal and external customers and all levels of company employees
  • Lead daily, weekly or monthly meetings as required for production status communication or updates
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or work experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations-related field preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with planning and scheduling policies and procedures
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
  • Proficiency with MS Office products with expertise in Excel
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication capabilities
  • Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/mentorship from manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year planning / scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP tools
  • SAP use in a Production / Supply Chain environment
  • Proficient in handling and analyzing data in Excel
  • Certified in production and inventory management or supply chain management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM
