Division: MSD (Materials and Structural Analysis Division) / Analytical Instruments Group (AIG)

How will you make an impact?

  • Key Account Manager is responsible for handling strategic accounts (Samsung including global sites) by defining and driving sales strategies, ensuring the achievement of bookings, revenues, and business goals.
  • Key Account Manager will provide leadership in performing key account sales strategy to deliver the company’s booking and revenue targets, optimize profitability, and strategically deploy customer-facing teams aligned with the company strategy. 
  • Key Account Manager will ensure there is a driven focus on the customer, sales force efficiency, price optimization, a profitable portfolio mix, targeted promotions, and an effective account management strategy.
  • Key Account Manager will work very closely with MSD EM commercial leaders and cross functional leaders and partners in Korea to help create initiatives focused on communicating and cultivating relationships with customers, driving run rate business, and generating new business.

What will you do?

  • Have a solid understanding of the overall Thermo Fisher customer value proposition and communicate it to the customers effectively.
  • Review and handle the development of market opportunities and requirements for existing products / services. Develop an awareness of customer product and service needs and maintain or enhance customer relations.
  • Collaborate with business managers, application and service teams on customer visits to provide strong commercial support and assist in the promotion of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s products and solutions at all sales, marketing events and activities.
  • Complete sales process, provide quotation to key customers for commercial solutions or projects. Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders. Engage team meetings and involve in pipelines regular meetings.
  • Handle system demonstrations, help workshops and seminars by working closely with the product marketing managers.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns (on-line and off-line through technical events) by working closely with marketing managers.
  • Develop and implement account growth strategy to align with division goals.
  • Lead ‘roadmap to PO’ using structured selling approaches and ensure to follow compliance regulations closely.
  • Handle all system configurations, specifications, delivery date and acceptance conditions which are appropriate for closing orders.
  • Build up the culture with company 4i value.

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

Education

  • A university degree is required – Science and Engineering is an advantage.

Experience

  • +4 years of customer facing Direct Sales account management in Semiconductor / Display Industry preferred.
  • Have proven success in Direct Sales account management and new market penetration across the respective market.
  • Experience in dealing with various scale customer accounts, multiple large and complex projects.
  • Proven record to work with speed and passion in managing highly driven business.
  • Strong track record of building new business.
  • Customer / business satisfaction oriented.
  • General understanding of sales financials.
  • Proactive in identifying solutions to business issues.
  • Possesses a responsive and agile demeanor.
  • High resilient and results orientated.
  • Performs consistently under pressure.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong Korean and English writing and speaking skill.
  • Critical thinking to navigate the market environment, the competition and to come up with viable strategic plans to achieve our objectives and strategic intent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships as well as influence customers and collaborators at all levels.
  • Exceptional ability to create business writing through expert utilization of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
