Responsibilities:

  • Develops, mentors, and performs annual reviews for a team that consists of Operational Planning and Scheduling, Project Planning, and Data Control. Develops Performance Improvement Plans when necessary as part of the Performance Management & Development (PMD) program.
  • Establishes Goals for direct reports in accordance with company initiatives and vision.
  • Develops a team that ensures proper planning, scheduling, and data services for a portfolio of projects and clients that are handled by the project management team.
  • Works with Program Directors to plan new work and partner with Quality, Operations, Data Control, Project Management and Engineering to deliver an efficient job set-up and execution plan.
  • Identifies, develops and implements process improvements to improve overall efficiency and productivity between the Operations and Project Management teams.
  • Handles all personnel issues, timecard maintenance, PMD’s and job descriptions as required.
  • Participates in sales and marketing activities such as customer and/or study kickoffs, teleconferences, customer visits, estimates and quotations with Sales and other internal colleagues.
  • Initiates the involvement of appropriate departments and maintains continuous communication with those departments.
  • Provides training, including system training and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training on a regular basis.
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) in all areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • In depth understanding of Project Planning and Operations.
  • Ability to prepare reports using Excel; knowledge of Windows, and Microsoft Word as well as the understanding and competent use of SOPs required by company Quality standards.
  • Good knowledge of company functions globally and a deep understanding of the relationships and processes integration among departments within the business.
  • Demonstration of good professional judgment when working with internal clients, excellent organizational, planning, verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong and effective communication with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Ability to influence and at times find compromise with internal teams in order to develop the best plan for implementing new projects.
  • Experience with detail execution, running multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • 7+ supporting project management or Operational Teams. 
  • Previous work experience in Service related field.  
  • 5+ years management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to include excellent relationship building. 
  • Confirmed experience working with direct management of teams.
  • Shown experience with internal customers in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S./B.F.A.) from a four year college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PPI Team Leader or Process Manager Certification or Six Sigma green or black belt.
