Technical Project Manager III, Cell Biology Services

Position Summary:

The Technical Project Manager III, Cell Biology, manages the technical and service aspects of Cell Biology custom projects. This will range from initial discussions with clients, development of the project requirements, documentation aspects of setting up the project and management of all project related activities through to study completion. The successful candidate will be an advocate for our customers, build an outstanding customer experience, and will drive high quality execution of customer projects. Must be capable to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with their cross functional partners including Sales, Operations, R&D and Product Management and must have a strong background in Biology/Biochemistry. Must be able to master rigorously defined processes while looking for ways to do things more effectively

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Partners with the R&D team to determine the preliminary design of the study and evaluates and understands the study.
  • Ensures customer needs are accurately translated into a quotation and has the responsibility to monitor and amend the quote and budget as the need arises.
  • Coordinates the delivery of all technical and service aspects of projects for global clients.
  • Coordinates customer teleconferences and provides timely customer reports and updates.
  • Exercises scope management with consideration for the customer, team, and company needs
  • Serves as the internal link within the company and will have direct contact with all internal departments and with customers and commercial teams
  • Tracks and manages project execution, forecasts revenue and key performance indicators.
  • Promotes a proactive, professional culture within the project management team and contributes to the group’s success.
  • Supports or leads special projects (e.g. process improvements)
  • Some travel may be required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level. 
  • 3-5 years industry or R&D experience managing complex projects is a plus
  • Cell Engineering, Stem Cells, Differentiation, Genome engineering – CRISPR and TALEN technology experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational, planning, verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Ability to develop strong customer management skills; proactively anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed their expectations

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Wisconsin is $75,800.00–$113,675.00.
