Job Title:

Application Scientist TEM

The electron microscope application scientist works in the semiconductor applications team, providing technical expertise in the support of TEM business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high quality TEM product demonstrations, including the development of new techniques and applications for customers.
• System owner of the electron microscope, be responsible for equipment maintenance, software and hardware upgrade and keep the tool in the best performance.
• Conduct customer training and translate customer needs into workable solutions.
• Cultivating positive customer relationships and acting as a high-level customer interface for specific instrument/applications issues, explaining complex technology details, giving in depth technical presentations, and assisting in applications development.
• Provide continuous feedback to the vertical marketing team on application solutions in specific industry area, understanding the stories behind customers' requirement.
• Customer support and applications training post sales cycle and after instrument has been installed.

Experience / Other Requirements:

• Knowledge and recent hands-on experience with TEM are required.
• Minimum of 3 years of meaningful experience in a related semiconductor industry and/or customer facing role.
• Knowledge of TEM advanced technology as well as troubleshooting, operational optimization, and experience of EDX, NBD, EELS, 3D tomography.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal for a diverse audience is crucial to success in this role.
• The applicant is required to have at least a master’s degree. Doctoral degree is preferred.
