The OLDP is designed as a unique opportunity for high-potential recent graduates to develop the vital skills to propel their career trajectory as a future Operations Leader. The OLDP experience is managed by a dedicated Program Manager and offers impactful opportunities for growth.

What will you do?

OLDP participants will have the opportunity to develop Operations technical skills, gain leadership experience through stretch assignments, and create a network across the organization to accelerate career development. Program participants have four 6-month rotation assignments during the two-year program at two different sites across the US. Geographic flexibility is required both during and after the completion of the program. Relocation assistance is provided. Rotations are determined through a combination of business priorities, participant interests, and areas of development.

Participants will become familiar with our diverse functional areas, business units, products / services, and geographies. Additional learning opportunities support the accelerated nature of the program and will include: formal learning sessions; a Mentor program; utilization of our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodology; and a network of Leadership Development Program alumni across the organization. The Program Manager will partner with participants to align on post-program interests and participants will interview for Operations roles where Operations competencies will continue to be developed.

Please Note: The OLDP is set to begin July 15, 2024 and individuals are responsible for finalizing housing and transportation prior to program commencement and across each rotation throughout the two (2) year program.

Rotation examples include:

  • People Management: Production Supervisor/Team Lead
  • Technical: PPI Specialist, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
  • Supply Chain: Planning & Sourcing
  • Quality: Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs
  • Distribution/Logistics:Distribution/Logistics Specialist
  • Procurement: Direct Category Management, Indirect Category Management, Procurement Excellence

Our ideal candidates are seeking a career in Operations and are passionate about living our mission in making a difference for our customers and making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

  • Student completing a Bachelor’s degree between December 2023 and June 2024. Preferred majors: Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Management, Logistics.
  • 1+ years of Operations-related experience preferred.
  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in manufacturing/Operations.
  • Consistent track record of teamwork demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
  • Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
  • Ability to interact with and influence colleagues and leaders at all levels of a matrixed environment.
  • Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong executive presence.
