Discover Impactful Work:

Creative Mechanical Engineer to work on all product lifecycle development stages from Research to Manufacture

A day in the Life:
  • Work with Global R&D design team to develop conceptual design, detailed design and drawings in Solid Works using the industry best design practices and design standards.
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings, adhering to ASME Y14 drawing standards and applying GD&T & Design for Manufacturability principles.
  • Complete responsibility for the development of 3D models, Drawings, Bill Of Materials and taking them through the Drawing release process and manufacturing.
  • Support in design documentation & artifact presentation as per design process.
  • Continuously learns and grow technical depth and knowledge across product lines. 
  • Identify and contribute to Knowledge management opportunities for the products assigned with through guidance & mentorship

Keys to Success:

Education & Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience with Product Development execution, preferably from Lab Equipment, Home Appliances, Medical Devices domain
  • Expertise in using SolidWorks for the development of 3D models and drawings

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) Principles (Structural, Theory of machines, Fluid Mechanics and Heat transfer etc.)
  • Ability to run basic calculations to prove design
  • Strong fundamentals on Engineering basics, design for manufacturability, ASME Y14 drawing standards & GD&T
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes like Plastic injection moulding, Sheet metal, Casting, Welding, Forging and relevant standards like ASME, AWS, and DIN.
  • Proficient in PDM and PLM systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Experience working with Global Team is a must
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
