How you will make an impact:

Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) provides a broad offering of instruments, consumables, software and services that are used for a range of applications in the laboratory, on the production line and in the field. These products and services are used by customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, government, environmental and other research, and industrial markets, as well as the clinical laboratory.

AIG Finance has built a Digital Analytics and Business Services (DABS) center, that strives to provide meaningful FP&A insights and analytics to AIG divisions through functional expertise, enabling business services, and next-gen Finance capabilities. This center will enable FP&A insights with a focus on customer centricity & business services support, promote FP&A process efficiency and identify opportunities for productivity enhancements, drive excellence in scale through process harmonization across AIG divisions, embrace digital solutions to elevate FP&A insights and enable continuous improvement of reporting, planning, and forecasting.

The AIG Senior Finance Analyst, reporting to the AIG FP&A Intake Management Lead of the DABS center, will serve the needs of the AIG business globally through FP&A planning, analysis & reporting to execute financial goals and initiatives to support a growing organization. The AIG Senior Finance Analyst will partner with other AIG FP&A members and the business to ensure their reporting, forecasting, and budgeting needs are met on time. Within the AIG FP&A team the AIG Senior Finance Analyst will be involved in various projects depending on the needs of the fast moving AIG business.

What you will do:

· Develop, standardize, and improve regular analyses and reports to share business and financial insights, and support monthly /quarterly /annual forecasting and budgeting process (i.e. support MBR, QBR, AOP, etc.)

· Collaborate with business partners to generate key assumptions and drivers for decision support, independently conduct ad hoc data analysis to identify business insights and observations

· Independently investigate data issues and/or information given, ask pertinent questions and identify root causes, collaborate with functional business partners and system support to improve data quality

· Proactively learn and adopt new systems and tools to improve analytics capability and accuracy

· Cover for other Business Services functions and get involved into finance projects as needed

How you will get here:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business related field

• Preferred – Master's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Finance

Experience

• 3+ years proven experience in Finance

• Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization

• Prior experience in FP&A

• Prior experience/familiarity with business intelligence, data analytics is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners across business (finance users) and technical solutioning team (IT)

· Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality work. Ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines and multi-task in deadline driven environment

· Proficient user of systems (i.e. SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion planning, Power BI, Cognos, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics/visualization, and process optimization

· Able to anticipate and plan for the unexpected and solve problems while maintaining a big picture perspective

· Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work based on business needs

· Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic to get the job done

· Self-starter with the ability to learn new tools, systems and processes quickly

Travel requirements • 10% domestic/international travel required
