UX Design Engineer II

Job Description

We are seeking for a versatile and seasoned UI/UX Developer to join our Metrics Team. As a UI/UX Developer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and refining intuitive user interfaces and compelling data visualization solutions. Your main focus will involve designing visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards and tools, empowering customers to interact with and glean insights from intricate datasets.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and develop user interfaces for data visualization dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
• Engage with data analysts and business analysts to understand user requirements and translate them into functional UI designs.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and collect feedback from customers.
• Develop interactive features and functionalities to enable users to explore and harmonize with data dynamically.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and improve user experience.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, standard methodologies, and new technologies in design and data visualization.
• Work closely with developers to ensure detailed integration of visual design with backend systems and data sources.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, usability testing, and data-driven insights.
• Chip into a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Metrics Team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Design, or related field.
• 5 + years of meaningful work experience as a UI/UX Developer, UI Designer, or similar role.  
• Experience designing and developing visuals for dashboards and analytical tools.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries and tools (e.g., D3.js, Tableau, Power BI).
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
• Expert in the use of Jira, Confluence, and other related technologies]
• Knowledge of responsive design techniques and cross-browser compatibility.
• Solid grasp of user-centered design principles and standard methodologies.
• Superb communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team environment.
• Meticulous approach with a passion for crafting intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• A portfolio showcasing previous similar work is highly desirable.
• Display a keen eye for detail, strategically applying it where vital to ensure precision and accuracy in all endeavors.
• Adopt a critical thinking approach, unafraid to pose questions and explore uncertain answers, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving abilities, capable of independently identifying and resolving challenges. Exhibit curiosity, and share solutions and insights to benefit the team
