The Role

This diverse, strategic position with a Global scope is one of two Senior Directorate roles reporting directly to the VP of Accellacare Site Network, a high profile division of ICON. The successful candidate will be leading the Project Management and QA teams as well as leadership of the Finance, HR, IT, Clinical Systems and Medical Teams. The position requires a strong contribution to Business Development activities and post-award client management. There will be a strong focus on business performance, operational delivery and improvement of business processes. This position is ideal for a strong business and people leader with a background in Clinical Research and with site level experience with client -facing capacity who is looking for a new challenge.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in clinical drug development and significant proven experience in applying customer solutions in clinical research.  ·  
  • Demonstrable experience of customer and stakeholder relationship management with a client focused approach to work.    
  • Possesses executive presence.
  • Capable of establishing immediate credibility with business partners internal and external to ICON to build consensus and achieve goals through influence and negotiations.  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, preferably practiced in an international clinical research environment.  
  • Experienced in making presentations at conferences, client meetings and training sessions.  
  • Ability to liaise and work well with professionals across departments including executive management, senior functional leaders and clinical project teams.  
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork and collaboration
