The following are responsibilities related to theFacility Manager:

Provides daily direction and supervision to animal care technicians to maintain quality performance of departmental and client objectives, including meeting/exceeding departmental standards for cagewash facilities operation, facilities condition, sanitation levels and facility security. Coordinates personnel scheduling with business activities. Actively interacts with customers as required to solve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance.

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Facility Managerposition: Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. AA degree in related field and/or AALAS certification as identified below. Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in a laboratory animal facility amd minimum one year of supervisory experience in a comparable environment required . Certification/Licensure: Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) certification if not degree, otherwise must be obtained within one year of eligibility. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
