Medical Director

We are seeking a Medical Director to join our dynamic team in Japan. The Medical Director will have overall responsibility for providing medical, scientific, and strategic leadership for the successful planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials. Additionally, this role acts as the Medpace internal medical expert and will serve as a medical resource for the review, presentation, and interpretation of results in the Clinical Study Report. The Medical Director will also be involved in the development of new clinical projects, including study design, protocol, and project plans as required.

• Provide medical management and expertise for clinical trials
• Contribute medical expertise to study reports, regulatory documents, and manuscripts
• Manage safety issues in clinical trials and work closely with associates in evaluation and assessment of the trials
• Participate in new business development through involvement in proposal and sponsor meetings as requested
• Collaborate with other departments and outside parties in all phases of the studies and trials including feasibility assessments, design processes educational efforts, management of medical information, and reviewing and editing of medical documents
• Follow specific research related protocol and lead others in strict adherence to the policies
• Act as the internal medical expert, serving as a medical resource for the review, presentation and interpretation of results in Clinical Study Reports
• May be responsible for other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Therapeutic Focus:

• Oncology

• Doctor of Medicine and at least 5 years of experience in clinical research, or 3 years of experience as a Medical Director within the CRO or Pharmaceutical industry
• Therapeutic area: Oncology
• Expert knowledge of ICH, GCP, PMDA and FDA regulations
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and motivate others
• Demonstrated ability to act as Medical Monitor, following protocols on high priority studies
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact face-to-face with clients and represent company in outside settings (e.g., conferences, client meetings, etc)
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically in business development activities and on the design and development of new clinical studies/projects
• Excellent presentation/facilitation skills
• Bilingual English and Japanese
