Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and manage internal and customer sponsored translational research projects
  • Participation in the establishment and coordination of key alliances/collaborations with academic centers and other external scientific partners
  • Writing, reviewing and editing customer scopes of work, project reports, and regulatory documentation
  • Lead writing of scientific publications on relevant topic abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts
  • Provision of scientific and technical input/guidance to all translational research programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or educational equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, pharmacology, or related field required
  • 10 years relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of human cellular or molecular biology concepts and experimental techniques as it pertains to cancer or other human diseases, advanced knowledge of current concepts in clinical & pre-clinical drug development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to write scientific and technical documents for internal and external communications relying heavily on attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects to ensure the timely delivery of reports and results of the highest quality.  Ability to work closely with multiple departments and to contribute in multi-disciplinary discussions and decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of independence with little to no direction needed to complete assigned tasks and projects.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including statistical analysis of data), PowerPoint and Word as well as experience in bibliography software (e.g. EndNote) and bio-statistical software (e.g.  GraphPad), as needed.
  • Ability to effectively navigate biological databases including NCBI (e.g. PubMed, Entrez, etc.), EMBL, Sanger, etc.
