This position provides scientific guidance and focus for C&GT client project teams and across various functional areas within the organization. An emphasis for this individual will be on providing scientific and innovative advice/guidance for C&GT clients. . This is a cross functional roll that will require a candidate to perform activities in scientific guidance/advising, strategic alliance management, and business development.  This position has the ability to work remotely.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Track record of successful management of CGT technical development (cell therapy or AAV preferred), with experience in managing or working within cGMP. Moving C&GT assets from IND approval, into clinical trial, and through Phase I/II preferred. Ability to engage with customers and build long-lasting and trust based relationships. Ability to independently manage a portfolio of clients and internal stakeholders across multiple business units. Improve customer satisfaction and awareness of overall offering (surveys, direct feedback, NPS). Increase project volume across CRL businesses, on same asset and for different assets. Accelerate asset development. Work within and provide feedback for digital intiatives and interfacing with CRL’s client portal. Job Qualifications   Education: PhD preferred Experience: Technical background with 5+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical services business or in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry. Customer facing role and demonstrated business acumen preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: None Other: Must possess excellent management and communication skills and have the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary department. Must have solid understanding of cGMP.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT: General office working conditions; the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

  COMMENTS: Regular domestic and international travel required.
