Principal Azure Cloud Engineer

Parexel Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering team is seeking a motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our global team. Significant experience required with both Azure and Automation/Orchestration technologies focusing mainly on build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our platforms and infrastructure. You will become part of a diligent team of engineers that deliver infrastructure solutions to host mission critical applications on-premise and in the cloud. You will maintain and promote security, availability, and redundancy strategies. Ideal candidate should also have significant experience in maintaining Azure environments as well as employing automation and orchestration technologies for deploying in both the Azure cloud as well as on-premises virtualization platforms (VMWare and Hyper-V).

Key Accountabilities: Responsible for technical management, operation and maintenance of Server infrastructure Defines, reviews, and maintains hardware/software technical standards, especially related to installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of systems Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing effortsKeeps IT management abreast of any changes across multiple technologies which may impact business decisionsPropose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to other team members and teamsMentor junior staff members to promote standardization and project initiatives / Provide orientation and trainingFinal technical escalation point for technical issues from associated IT teams and membersEnsures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systems that support core organizational functionsMonitors key system parameters to ensure optimum performance and maximum system uptime is being maintained for essential systemsRequired to participate in an on-call rotationQualificationsCandidate Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineer or a related degreeHighly organized and have clear, concise communication skills Ability to function in a Global organization with a flexible and dynamic team environment10+ years working with virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V) in clustered environmentsSignificant experience with scripting / automation technologies (Ansible, PowerShell, etc)Significant experience with hosting infrastructure within Public Clouds Exposure (Azure preferred)Desired Qualifications: Operating System Engineering Experience (Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019, Linux RHEL / CentOS) Experience with Zerto Storage Experience (DELL / EMC, HP, NetApp)EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.  Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected status, which in the US includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
