Global Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager will have the dual responsibility of leading and managing Commercial Compliance Consulting client projects as well as serving as a lead Compliance SME for IQVIA’s Commercial Compliance Technology products portfolio. In their client-facing role, the Engagement Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects across the commercial compliance consulting portfolio on time, on budget and on scope. In addition, they will work closely with IQVIA’s technology product team to ensure that our technology portfolio accurately reflects all relevant legal requirements and to support the design of those solutions.  


Responsibilities:

  • Support Principals with creating and presenting client deliverables, while managing deliverables and performance of team members
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure project success and profitability
  • Develop and present project plans and proposals, develop pricing and fee structure and obtain signoff from leadership
  • Monitor legislative developments globally and analyze legal updates (Laws/Industry Code) to understand potential impact on our technology and consulting products and offerings
  • Work with Product Owners (POs) and Dev Team to make sure that technology product is updated in line with the relevant legal changes
  • Lead actively thought leadership and training activities such as:
    • Issuing legal alerts to technology and clients in relation to expected regulatory changes with impact on technology products
    • Driving content development and execution of client user groups and subject matter forums
    • Conducting training on regulatory trends for internal stakeholders such as technology product and delivery teams, sales, and account management teams etc.
  • Perform functional/legal audits of existing reports/templates and work with POs to change any report if needed
  • Provide additional support to technology product and delivery teams through direct client engagement to address questions related to regulatory developments with product impact
  • Obtain personal development objectives from team members and incorporate in project plan and deliverables
  • Identify and articulate client needs, sell clients on needs/services and projects and develop client and business relationship
  • Support the growth of our Commercial Compliance organization through various internal and external initiatives including speaking at and attending conferences, developing thought leadership materials and marketing collateral
  • Assume additional responsibilities including development and mentorship of staff, providing feedback on internal and client related projects, recruiting, and training
  • Other duties as assigned


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 4-7 years’ strategic management consulting or legal experience, preferably with a consulting firm, a law firm or in an in-house legal/compliance role
  • Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and in particular compliance and risk management issues a strong plus
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; a Law Degree or another master’s degree preferred
  • Successful track record managing projects (on time and on budget) and developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Proven interest in technology and developing technology solutions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to distill complex regulatory requirements in simple terms
  • Entrepreneur, independent worker, strong negotiation and sales skills, organized, self-motivated
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Fluency in English is required.
