Logistics Team Lead

In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives."</p> <p>The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am overtime and rotating weekends may be required but as a Team Leader you must have the flexibility to work other shifts as needed</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist logistics supervisor with day to day operations and special projects</li> <li>Coordinate and assign work to the logistics team to ensure proper coverage</li> <li>Ensure all drivers are prepared for their shifts with the necessary supplies</li> <li>Work with dispatcher to provide alternate routes when needed</li> <li>Research, troubleshoot and follow up on internal and external customer inquiries and issues</li> <li>Train new hires and provide on-going training and support to the team</li> <li>Generate and review daily/weekly reports and escalate any issues to leadership</li> <li>Update routes in the database and reconcile route logs on a consistent basis</li> <li>Ensure all equipment and handheld electronic devices are working properly</li> <li>Serve as back-up driver when needed and perform dispatch duties as required</li> <li>Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed</li> </ul><p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span></p><p>There are sites this role supports which require workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Labcorp will consider reasonable accommodations If you are in need of an exemption due to a medical contraindication/disability or religious belief.</p> <ul> <li>Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-5 years experience, but an Associate's Degree is preferred.</li> <li>3-5 years experience as a driver/courier</li> <li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record</li> <li>Must be at least 21 years' old</li> <li>Previous leadership experience a plus</li> <li>Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li> <li>Basic computer skills with Proficient in Microsoft Office</li> <li>Ability to handle the physical demands of the position</li> <li>Comfortable with handling lab specimens when needed</li> </ul>
