In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Financial Analyst for our Safety Assessment Business Finance Team located in Mattawan, MI.

A Business Finance Financial Analyst partners with site operations and Business Finance on all financial planning and analysis activities in a dynamic and growing business.  The Financial Analyst will provide essential cross-functional support across the organization.  This role will build strong relationships through consistent reporting, analysis, and interpretation of financials, operational metrics, and key performance indicators.  The Financial Analyst will gather insightful, actionable information to help drive the business and deliver performance gains.

Essential duties and responsibilities: Prepare analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results compared to forecast, budget, and prior year. Perform analysis of revenue activities including monthly revenue verification, forecast variance analysis and acceptable documentation verification. Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues to help drive and improve performance such as customer and service line profitability. Perform regular analyses on P&L variances, commercial metrics, labor utilization, and capacity. Assist the Business Finance Team with the preparation of monthly financial results and key performance indicators for monthly business reviews.  Support the weekly revenue and monthly P&L forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan processes. Ensure compliance with all Charles River internal control policies. Perform all other related duties and or special projects as assigned.

  Job Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance/Accounting Two (2) years or more experience working in accounting/analyst positions An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific experience. Prior SAP/ERP system experience (preferred)
