  Job Summary The senior cybersecurity automation developer will work as part of the cybersecurity team on projects that span many components within the technology stack (i.e. Azure, AWS, Python). Individuals in this role are subject matter experts (SMEs) expected to automate, secure, test and deploy InfoSec applications and services across the enterprise. In addition, they must be available and ready to provide diverse knowledge and understanding of many technology implementations to others in the organization, such as operations, infrastructure and engineering, as well as internal and external entities responsible for delivering scalable and secure applications and services. Working as part of a team, the role entails sharing information among many groups to successfully build, deploy and maintain secure applications and attain organizational objectives through automation. The individual in this role understands the infrastructure and applications in use and can quickly build secure processes across the technology stack.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Receive input, design, test and deploy solutions supporting automation and agile methodology, while adhering to security principles designed to protect against vulnerabilities and threats targeting web-based services.

•Document and maintain policies and standard operating procedures aligning with robust security practices, standards, application and host integrity, as well as security principles and best practices.

•Develop and implement workflows to update and maintain configurations across protected infrastructure, which includes on-premises and cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).

•Automate using a variety of tools that support rapid implementation and dynamic delivery.

•Develop and compile high-quality code that passes validation testing and provides capabilities expected by stakeholders and customers.

•Create and use CI/CD integrations, including code management systems, with expectations to build and rapidly deploy to on-premises and cloud hosting platforms.

•Guide teammates and automate manual release testing activities through use of CI/CD practices.

•Cooperate with team members to design, develop, and modify architecture components and application interfaces, while maintaining integrity and security.

•Deliver automated testing supporting integrations, performance obligations and regression requirements.

•Develop and deploy applications in container services, such as Docker and Kubernetes.

•Work with security team members to enforce thorough application inventory and management standards, as well as audit compliance for applications and services under corporate policies.

•Liaison with security and technology teams to understand infrastructure, vulnerability management, data protection and least privilege principles.

•Regularly report to security leadership on automation security posture supporting defined metrics and SLAs.

•Have professional accountability to remain educated on threat landscape and automation tools.

•Openly support the organization, management, and executive leadership team, even during times of adversity. 

•Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications

•Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.

•Experience:  Minimum of 5 years related experience in IT security (such as cybersecurity and systems administration, application development and operations).

•An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

•Certification/Licensure:  IT security related certification desired (e.g., Security +, CISSP, GCSA, GSEC, AWS or similar professional certification).

•Other:   Understanding of HIPAA-HITECH, PCI, SOX, GxPs, Data Privacy regulations, etc. Knowledge of IT and information security best practices. Proficient in scripting, automation and application development in multi-tier systems, using RESTful APIs. Aptitude with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Go, TypeScript and Bash) Able to handle moderate problem resolution with general supervision. Must have strong interpersonal, teamwork, self-initiative skills.
