The Sr Contracts Specialist/Contract Specialist role is to draft and negotiate contracts and prepare or update project budgets. Work closely with team members across the organization to obtain contractual terms.
Key Accountabilities Prepare contract documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change Orders, from Parexel or client templatesPrepare or amend project budgetsNegotiate contractual terms and budget changes with client when neededPrepare payment schedulesInteract with clientProvide quality client deliverables to strict deadlinesLearn and adhere to relevant policies and procedures that apply to assigned contractsParticipate in contract review meetings with clients and internal team membersPrepare finance system load ready budget toolsReview client contractual templates with support from Line Manager/legal team,edit as appropriate, and highlight areas of potential concernEnter data about assigned contracts and upload contractual documents into database.Participate in the development and testing of tools and proceduresProvide training and mentoring to other Contracts team membersMay have involvement in discussing legal terminology for contractual documents as appropriate
Skills Ability to lead internal meetingsHighly organized with excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailHighly confident dealing with internal team and clientsIntermediate or advanced Excel skillsPreferred: Experience with negotiation
Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Language SkillsFluent in English, oral and written
Minimum Work Experience Knowledge of contract management principles.Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
