Job Description

You will work with other members within Production Engineering, to identify and lead projects in equipment layout, improvement in current technology and processes.

Implementation of new technology enabling the business in meeting its Quality, Delivery, Cost Improvement targets and ensuring Health & Safety (EHS) activities are met.

Lead teams and assist as necessary with Installation and Validation of processes and equipment within the Birmingham facility.

Stay in sync with and support the Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all H&S audits are carried out accordingly.

Support any audits performed within the areas either by internal or external bodies and to identify areas requiring improvement to ensure the department is fully meets the Quality System requirements and addressing issues identified as vital.

Manage and lead any CAPA’s assigned to the Process Engineering Team and ensure effective completion of the various gates within the required timeframes.

Work with the departmental management teams, to identify/support areas of improvement with the processes used to improve the departments throughput i.e. standard times for processes, equipment, future investment, etc.

Develop approrpiate validation/engineering study & protocols along with the Quality Engineers to ensure that all requirements are met.

Assist in developing the procedures for each piece of equipment so that the set-up and shut down processes are: Clear, Logical, and Efficient.

Update any assembly/equipment procedures as required ensuring cGMP processes are met.

Formulate/advise on plant/equipment requirements to assist in achieving maximum uptime of all appropriate equipment.

Lead and be involved as the need arises in new equipment definition to support the continued operation / expansion of PDX

  • Experience of working in a Quality System Environment within a highly regulated industry

  • Knowledgable in packaging processes within the FMCG, Pharma or Medical device industries.

Education

BSc in Process, Chemical, Industriall Engineering or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Problem Solving, DMAIC, RCA, RCCM, A3, 8D

  • Project management skills

  • Data analysis, Pareto Analysis, Process Behavior charts, Statistical methods.

  • Technical Writing is a plus.
