Location/Division

Chemical Analysis division, featuring innovative analytics, from Lab to Line to Field. This position will support the Materials and Minerals Service Team and serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including Production facilities in the Plastics, Paper, Steel, Aluminum industries along with new technology in the Lithium-Ion Battery Market.

The position is remote based and collaborates with the US Gauging group. The work area will have a general focused area of Fremont, CA and in the Midwestern states at multiple contract customers. This could expand over time to other regions and countries.

How will you make an impact?

We provide onsite customer support and service for Web and Metals Processing Production Lines. This equipment measures weight and thickness of raw paper, plastics, steel and aluminum in the production facilities around the world. This requires 75%-100% of travel in the USA (weekend travel is rare but may be required). Must also be available to work a flexible work schedule to support a 24/7 service operation.

What will you do?

  • Primary role is professional onsite and remote Service and support for Industrial Control Equipment for Plastics, paper, rubber, Metals and Lithium-Ion Processing Production Lines. Our Equipment measures the width, thickness and or weight of different materials during the production process. Ensuring that Materials & Minerals North America customer needs and expectations are met and exceeded within the parameters of the job.
  • Primary responsibility is the overall customer support and service of an assigned customer list.
  • Ensuring customer happiness by going above and beyond
  • Coordinates long term and short-term planning for maintenance, and repair events with manufacturing and management. Key Player in communicating downtime, maintenance needs, and prioritization.
  • System installation services

How will we get here?

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2-year technical degree, equivalent military or technical training preferred

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in an instrumentation/ service, process control environment
  • Vaccination Required for this role

Compensation/Benefits:

The salary range estimated for this position is $66,000 to $90,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong electro /mechanical, and computer skills
  • Computer Networking knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including scheduling, documentation, customer liaison
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and solve system issues from schematics
  • Knowledge of the industrial process control business is helpful.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Wonderware or similar HMI/GUI software
  • Knowledge of extrusion control, calendar control, and Machine direction control beneficial
  • Previous experience in Field Service environment
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Must be able to work independently and proactively to resolve customer issues
  • Must be well organized (Installation reports, travel, scheduling, expenses)
  • Work with Sales Team and Engineering to improve our products
  • Ability to work flexible hours
