Location/Division-Specific Information:

This position is within the Genetic Sciences Division a division of the Life Sciences Group. Genetic Sciences enables genomic discoveries and decisions through our innovative genetic analysis technologies, workflows, and services in the fields of cancer research, human identification, animal health and Agri-genomics, reproductive health, and molecular diagnostics. We support researchers, labs, and clinicians in advancing scientific discovery and improving global health outcomes by providing outstanding genetic analysis platforms and solutions. Our powerful portfolio includes real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing and microarray analysis. Technology applications include genomic analysis, genetic testing, forensics, reproductive health, Agri-genomics and animal health, and human diagnostic testing.

You will play a pivotal role in crafting the digital strategy and driving the execution of marketing plans at a global level. You will develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing initiatives to support business unit objectives. Collaboration with our other divisional partners will be essential to ensuring success.

A Day in the life:

  • Digital Strategy Development: Responsible for the leadership and overall strategic design, planning, development, implementation and managing of GSD global digital marketing, including strategy and cross-functional alignment globally and regionally for GSD Global BU campaigns.
  • Execution Oversight: Drive the complete implementation of our go to market plans, ensuring alignment with our goals and objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Will require the ability to optimize campaigns to improve our impact.
  • Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with senior leaders and global marketing partners to ensure alignment efforts with overall business goals and strategies.
  • Partner Engagement: Work closely with partners in BID digital marketing to demonstrate their standard processes & channel expertise, apply data-driven recommendations and capitalize on shared resources to drive the success.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Apply data-driven insights to advise decision-making, optimize campaigns, and find opportunities for continuous improvement. Regularly report on performance indicators to partners.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Use market research findings to advise strategy development and tactical execution.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or equivalent.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and techniques, including but not limited to SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed organization and able to partner / influence; Strong record of building alignment in cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates creativity and problem-solving ability with good intuition for business, proven written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$140,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
