Position Summary:

The District Manager (DM) will be responsible for achieving client corporate and district sales objectives by hiring, leading, and developing a sales team within a specific geography.  He/she will provide strategic direction based on client product goals and effective business analysis. He/she will be accountable for maintaining compliance with all IQVIA and client policies that govern field sales activity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive district sales team activities including hiring, training, coaching, development of personnel, and ensuring compliance to IQVIA and client corporate policies
  • Ensure marketing and sales plans/strategies are implemented effectively
  • Responsible for setting clear expectations and holding team accountable to high standards of performance
  • Conduct field visits to coach, develop, and motivate sales representatives
  • Assess individual performance, identify needs, and monitor development of personnel
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of disease state, products, and competitive landscape
  • Continually review assigned region to analyze methods to obtain additional business
  • Plan and conduct Plan of Action (POA) meetings in accordance with national sales and marketing plans and programs
  • Provide continuous feedback to IQVIA PL and client leadership
  • Responsible for allocating and managing district budget
  • Monitor compliance with proper use of promotional materials and all IQVIA and client policies that govern field sales activity

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university
  • 5+ year of proven, documented, consistent, and successful track record in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 of those years in a leadership position required
  • 50%+ Travel required
  • Must live within the district
