Senior Medical Communications Writer

IQVIA are looking for a Lead Promotional Healthcare Copywriter to join the medical strategy and content  team in our Medical and Patient Communications division, an agency environment within IQVIA. You will be responsible for creating engaging copy for HCPs and patients/caregivers across multiple channels, including digital tactics. You will have the opportunity to develop branded materials, concepts, campaigns, and creative materials, while also participating in client meetings, creative team meetings, MLR reviews, and pitches. Thanks to our unique position within IQVIA™, The Human Data Science Company™, our collaborative offerings extend well beyond those of a traditional medical communications agency, and you will have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams with our colleagues specializing in patient support programs, real-world evidence, scientific communications, and commercialization to develop new communications solutions to help move healthcare forward. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years copywriting experience with health care, pharmaceutical, or device communications, bringing a combination of scientific knowledge, copywriting promotional expertise, strategic insight and client-facing leadership. We value proactive thinkers who have the ability and desire to work in multifunctional teams to create innovative communications solutions.


Requirements:
Experience communicating key data around brands in a variety of promotional materials across media
Ability to understand and translate complex clinical information into compelling, effective, succinct copy using language appropriate for the audience (HCPs or patients)
Previous work in a range of therapeutic areas and deliverables (e.g. promotional sales copy; patient disease or treatment education materials; patient support program materials; marketing communications; branded campaigns targeted to health care providers, patient and consumers; market access materials; REMS communications; training materials; and pharma advertising)
Ability to think strategically
Knowledge of market trends and government and industry guidance, including OPDP, FDA, PhRMA, ABPI
Demonstrable knowledge of healthcare communications business objectives, services and operating procedures
Strong presentation skills
Ability to research competitors and marketplace to assess a condition, add market depth of knowledge 
Awareness of health literacy principles and trends 
Strong computer skills, including MS office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet
Ability to coach and mentor team members
Ability to oversee team outputs, ensuring quality, compliance, appropriateness and profitability
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, clients and suppliers
Budgetary awareness

Experience: Bachelors degree in a communications-related or scientific concentration, demonstrated scientific acumen, plus 4 years’ experience in a health care/pharmaceutical/device marketing agency
